I use the USB passthroughs on my monitors and have extension cables for audio and mic. People nowadays prefer more minimal set-ups myself included. I wouldn't recommend any Corsair product but there aren't exactly any alternatives to what you are looking other than a new G510. The font is horrible, the keycaps are very low quality, the cable is very thick rubber and the USB passthrough doesn't help either, they use a non-standard bottom row which means replacing the keycaps is not as easy, the stabilizers on mine used to rattle loud enough to wake satan up, and last but not least the price of this thing is through the roof.

You do need to install the Corsair Drivers for macro/RGB control and there is a learning curve to it but the CUE is a very capable tool in the right hands, hands down one of the best drivers out there.

USB passthrough, volume wheel, each key can be a macro and like 6-7 dedicated macro keys on the left side, windows and backlight toggle butotns, media keys, and programmable RGB. You won't find a good board with speaker input, just get a usb hub that does that stuff, they are like 10$ and not worth taking a crap keyboard over.Ĭorsair K95 has a lot of the features you want. They have good macro and RGB software, nearly all the features you want and very good quality. They aren't quality hardware, they are just cheap crap made for people who don't know better. I can't imagine how I ever loved that board after using a proper mech for a while. And while I was cleaning it up a bit, I realized what an appealing plasticy cheaply made pieces broken off paint faded piece of crap it was. I sold my old G510 eventually, because it still worked fine. Most boards just do FN+whatever, that's just as easy and you have to move your hands less. You don't need the macro keys and all that other stuff, either. That's an objectively worse way to go about it! How in the world is it better to look down onto your keyboard, away from the action, to look at the same information that is on your HUD anyway. And the game info is the dumbest thing ever.

Your PC is mostly likely just fine and temps are nothing you should ever bother with. Theresa zero point in constantly monitoring CPU usage, temps and all that crap. You have tons of clocks anyway, just look at your phone. Let me tell you, it's all a load of bullshit. For the longest time I couldn't fathom to ditch that screen. It all sounds so good on paper and you probably can hardly imagine living without that stuff. Get rid of that shit and let your keyboard be a keyboard. Lighting, macro buttons, and of course that screen which is so useful. I used to think like you, had the G15 and G510. I really feel like I'm scraping the bottom of the barrel on this one, any help out there? The g910 is a near suitable replacement but I've felt the keycaps in person and the sharp ridges are god awful in my opinion. I know I could just buy another 510 or the 510s, but I'm really keen on getting blue or brown switches for my next build instead of the rubber domes. I have spent about a dozen hours searching online for different options and I've been sifting through pages and pages of the wiki but I haven't found anything that does what my old 510 does.
